Hi everyone! Been a while since I wrote a journal on here or an update in general! I have just restarted my Etsy shop and posted my first print on there so please check it out. Forgive me as I am still a noob when it comes to the digital art world so since I have just discovered a straight forward technique to colouring or fixing a scanned sketch overall has inspired me more to create art! My little shop of all art related stuff : by KVigoArt on Etsy Hope everyone is safe and healthy during this crazy time. -Iistel X
This month is for the LGBT community or as they call it Pride or Gay Pride, I can say that I am a supporter of it even though I am a Roman Catholic and had a very religious upbringing but I TRULY believe that being a true Christian or Catholic; you gotta give some good/caring humanity deeds to the people around you in order to get respect back as well. The people of the Pride events even welcome people who aren’t even in the LGBT, so they deserve our welcome too.
I stand by the phrase, “Treat others as you would like to be treated” cause if you don’t, how are we all going to get along you know? I don’t have any dislikes for the Christian/Catholic community, like if some want to continue disagreeing with the act of Homosexuality then they can but there are some who are forceful and do everything to change one person’s sexuality.. that for me goes borderline or abandons them, even throws abusive words as well. Then that doesn’t make you a true religious person. I believe, our role as religious individuals is to be nice/respectful and most of all; open minded. Like God created us, to love one another as a FAMILY so there are people where they don’t like these kinds of act then therefore they abuse this teaching we’ve grown to know and use strong hard words or even bullying to make these harmless individuals change their minds and start anew. This obviously doesn’t work and is totally unnecessary, because being who you are is not a CRIME and I just hope some people out there realize that.
I have so many close friends who are in the LGBT community, and it hurts me to know the struggle they’ve been through just to get where they are now; happy and out there like it shouldn’t be that hard but sadly it is. So when I see news of young ones to adults being bullied or just rejected cause of them finding a new chapter in their lives. I feel the pain from my close friends who’ve been through that you know? That sucks. Its also about true friendship actually cause that’s your role to be there to support them through it.
One of my closest friends A, we’ve been inseparable since college and we’ve both learnt so much from each other. Most of all, we’ve learnt to respect on whatever happens in one’s life and decisions. We’re opposites in terms of the way we were brought up yet we manage to meet halfway or even all the way in our differences and its amazing.
Actually, have to mention another friend who me and A actually know from the same class in college. We were given a task to create a piece that we are enthusiastic about therefore I did a piece that featured three wooden boards into making an image of the Holy Rosary with Mother Mary in the center. On the other hand, he did the opposite in making a piece related to Atheism. But did I say anything against it? No, of course not. I had the right to, but chosen not to cause I know that I have the ability to give respect to what they want create artistically. Did he say anything to me? Yeah and it was a positive note, saying that he likes that I’m respectful of his work and he as well is respectful of mine.
I’ll end this post. by saying R.I.P to the victims of Orlando’s Pulse nightclub tragedy x
